Jalalabad is the capital of the state of Kyrgyzstan and is situated south of the Kugart valley and at the foot of Babash Ata mountain to the north. It is situated at 80 km. from the city of Osh if you travel by road.
Jalalabad once remained a place of great archaeological interest in the past, but today there are less known remains. A part of the famous "Silk Road" also crosses the city of Jalalabad.
Jalalabad is famous for its spas. The most famous of these is the spa "Hozret-Ayub-Paigambar" and it was believed that the water of this spa cured lepers. Another interesting place in the city is the cafeteria "Ikram Ajy", which is located at a height of 1,000 meters and from there you can see the entire city of Jalalabad.
There is a legend that the water of the Azreti-Ayup-Paygambar spa (Prophet Job) has treated the lepers. According to legend, there was a tomb, a mosque and the khan's palace near the baths.
