SDM Education Trust established Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute of Management Development in 1993. The Institute is located at Mysore. The institute is one of the premier B-schools of the country.

In addition to a dual degree course in Management, SDM Institute for Management Development offers PGPM and PG Diploma in Management. To confirm admission to the SDM Institute for Management Development, National/ State level management entrance test i.e. CMAT/CAT/GMAT/ XAT is required followed by the personal interview round.

Admission Procedure at SDMIMD

  • The candidates who are eligible for the course as per the eligibility criteria are given above can fill an application form with application fees of Rs.1250.
  • An applicant has to appear for any of the Entrance Test like CAT, XAT, GMAT or CMAT etc.
  • Applicants will be shortlisted based on recognition of participation in extracurricular activities including sports, debates, theatre, fine arts etc., competitive exam score, consistent academic performance, and work experience if applicable finally for the admission.
  • Based on consistent academic performance, shortlisted applicants will be called for Personal Interview in March 2019 to be held at several centers across India. Skype interviews are also held on request.
  • Selected students will be informed by phone or email and their seat will be confirmed on receipt of the First installment of fees by the due date as mentioned in the Offer Letter.

Eligibility Criteria for Studying PGDM at SDMIMD

  • To appear for the PGDM course at SDMIMD, candidates should be Graduates/Final Year Graduation students who are appearing for CMAT/NMAT/XAT/CAT/GMAT or who have valid scores in these exams.
  • Applicants should be graduates in any discipline from the recognized university recognized by the UGC/AIU.
  • Applicants should have a consistent academic record of not less than 50% aggregate in 10th Std, 12th Std. and Degree.
  • Students in final year of Degree awaiting for the results and are confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks may also apply for the PGDM courses.

Courses Offered at SDMIMD

In various disciplines, SDM Institute of Management offers Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and also doctoral programs.

1. PGPM and PGDM Programs

Candidates are also offered Postgraduate Diploma & Postgraduate Certification in Management (PGDM- PGCPM) courses with Dual Certification. Post qualification in the entrance test, students with a valid GMAT/ CAT/CMAT/ XAT score are called for the personal interview round.

2. Doctoral Programs

On the candidate’s score in Ph.D. Admission Entrance Test conducted by the University of Mysore, admissions to the doctoral course in management offered at SMDIMD are based. M.Phil or UGC JRF score holding candidates are exempted from the entrance test. The eligible participants will have to face the personal interview round by the SMD Management Research Centre for the final admission.

3. PG Diploma

SDMIMD initiated short-term courses is Sports management since 2009 in association with the Centre of Sports & Management Studies (CS & MS). On the basis of their performance in the personal interview round, the candidates will be selected for the course.

Facilities available at SDMIMD

  • The college provides the students with quality infrastructure and it has all the facilities like Basketball court, Badminton court, Gym, Wifi, etc.
  • The Library and Computer Lab are well maintained and provide quality services to the students.
  • There are 4 hostels in the campus itself. The hostel is clean, neat and maintained.
  • Other than hostels, there are many places for rent in Mysore both cheap and costly as well.
  • The mess fees (including electricity, other expenses) sum up to a maximum of 3000 rupees per month and the college only provides Vegetarian food.
  • The hostel rooms are spacious and well designed.
  • The hostel provides facilities such as a lounge/study area, recreational facilities, Fully furnished single rooms, and a common dining area.
  • There are other necessary facilities also provided in the hostel such as housekeeping, dry cleaning, broadband internet access, and laundry services.
  • The library of SDMIMD holds over 70 print journals, 14000 books, provides access to 39000 (EBSCO + J-Gate) e-journals, abstracts & case study databases, electronic corporate databases like Capitaline, newspapers and business magazines, and additional 120 multimedia resources.
  • The computer center is fully air-conditioned and can serve 90 students at a time. It is continuously upgraded with the latest software and hardware.
  • The classrooms are equipped with high-tech support equipment: OHP's Computers, LCD Projectors, AV Systems, and White Boards.
  • The "Wellness Center" at the campus is well designed and equipped. It offers Hi-Tech Gym, Aerobics, Yoga, Table Tennis, and Shuttle Badminton.
