Birla Institute of Technology was established in 1947 by Seth Shivnarainji Birla. BITS Pilani is the All India Institute for pursuing higher education. The main aim of the institute is to create young minds by evaluating ideas, techniques, methods, and information.
From the past years, BITS provides quality education on merit basis in the areas of various engineering disciplines.
Mr.G.D.Birla is a founder of the institute who is an eminent industrialist participated in a number of freedom projects for the Indian nation. The graduates from the institutes are working in all part of the world in areas of engineering, commerce, and science.
BITS, Pilani has been ranked among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country by leading global ranking agencies and publications. The institute provides UG and PG programs with an emphasis on developing professional skills for engineering exposure. Admissions to BITS is only by BITSAT test conducted by BITS, Pilani.
Candidates who wish to apply for 1st year B.E undergraduate programme at BITS, Pilani need to follow following admission guidelines:

Scholarships, Fellowships, and financial assistance are available for students. Merit-based scholarships awarded to students which cover the reimbursement of all semester fees and admission fees. There is student aid fund through which the financial assistance is provided to students
The institute has a sports club which manages sports and games facilities throughout the curriculum. Football, cricket, basketball, tennis, weight lifting etc. are organized by the inline faculty of the institute.
Institute has a student welfare division who monitor the student activities. The division provides necessary support and operates various clubs like music, dance, Hindi drama, English drama, English press, Hindi press, poetry club, photography etc.
Each hostel has resident and non-resident wardens who provide the counseling assistance for students. Every student has provided with an academic advisor who helps the students throughout academics.
Around 600 students from the BITS, Pilani is placed in reputed companies throughout each semester. Scenario for the placement takes place in two rounds i.e. aptitude and face interview.

Pilani campus is the oldest campus located in Rajasthan. The campus has over 5000 students from different parts of a country providing a diverse environment along with sophisticated culture. About 270 faculties and 150 staffs are staying on the campus along with families.
The campus provides an ideal platform for students to shape and sustain their professional career. We have a broadminded faculty who hardly work to strives our institution to the top level among all institution in the country. In the upcoming years, the campus will have a new academic building, housing block, faculty, and staff.
So, we invite all the bright students to be a part of BITS Culture at Pilani.
In our college, there are a good number of placements for the engineering courses. As per my knowledge, the highest package offered was 35 LPA. Students here have a dual degree, or they can take a second-degree from engineering course. Our college offers student exchange programs for students. Civil engineering and architectural engineering students recently went to the US for a 1-year exchange programme. The infrastructure of our college is good. It has facilities like labs, library, smart classrooms, digital library, running tracks for athletes, gym, rocket testing centre, canteen, etc.
The infrastructure of BIT is quite well developed and magnificent. The campus of BITS is spread across the area of 700 acres, and there are 10 hostels. Hostels have all the modern facilities. The main institute building of BIT is quite huge with inner cooperative and canteen along sides. The newly introduced CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) system is very much helpful. Apart from having well-furnished computer labs and comfortable classrooms equipped with A/C and projectors. It also has seminar halls and excellent library.
