The Governing body BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board) organizes the UnderGraduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) for 100% private seats and 85% state quota government seat of medical colleges across the state.
All India Quota AIQ consumes the 15% Government seat for which the counselling is initiated through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
After qualifying the NEET UG exam, students are eligible to participate in the counselling program. A student must have to secure a 50% score (for General category) and 40 % for (OBC/ST & NT) in the NEET UG Exam.
There are 5 private medical colleges and 9 Government medical colleges with the 600 private seats and 1140 government seats allotted for the MBBS program.
As per the survey conducted by the Select Your University, the Government Medical Colleges located in Muzaffarpur and Patna were preferred as a top rank medical colleges in Bihar. Whereas Private medical colleges are evolving gradually.
From 2020, the Private Medical College, Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital, Bettlah is going to commence academic sessions with an intake of 100 for the MBBS program.
The observation made by the Select Your University found the variations in Cut-offs in Round 1 & Round 2. The cut off is high in Round 1 and it drops down in Round 2.
In Round 1, the Government seat allocated to a general category student at a rank of 10351 drops down to a rank of 13985 in Round 2.
Select Your University would like to advise the medical students to do proper financial planning before taking admission to private medical colleges in Bihar as they have been charged more fees for the MBBS course.

Step 1: Candidate needs to have a register on bceceboard.Bihar.gov.in
Step 2: A list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the website.
Step 3: The seat is allotted to a candidate based on the candidate’s rank, preference, institute cutoff ranks.
Step 4: Candidates need to confirm their seats in respected allotted colleges or they can proceed to Round 2.
Step 5: As per the schedules, seat allotments will be conducted.
Step 6: Candidate needs to deposit security fees which are 2,00,000 for private MBBS medical college.
