The CBSE has not announced a specific timeline for refunding the re-evaluation fee. However, students can expect the refund process to begin once the revised results of all candidates have been declared. In its detailed notification issued on June 21, the board had clarified that the re-evaluation fee refund will be processed only after the completion and declaration of all re-evaluation results.

The CBSE announced the Class 12 re-evaluation results on June 21, 2026, and has already processed and published the revised scores of more than 87 per cent of the applicants. The results for the remaining candidates are currently being released in phased batches and are expected to be made available shortly.
“The revised results are being released in phases, with more than 87 per cent of the total applications declared today. The results for the remaining applications will also be announced in a phased manner, and the entire process is expected to be completed shortly,” the board stated in X.

CBSE Re-Evaluation Charges for Class 12 Students
In response to widespread concerns raised by students over the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, CBSE reduced the re-evaluation and verification charges by up to 85 per cent. Under the revised fee structure, students are required to pay ₹25 per question for re-evaluation and ₹100 per subject for obtaining a photocopy and verification of the answer sheet.
The refund policy specifically applies to the revised post-result grievance redressal system introduced following concerns regarding the OSM process. If a student's marks increase after re-evaluation or verification, even by one mark, the board will provide a full refund of the entire fee paid for these services.
