1. Who would be eligible to appear in 2025 for the NEET UG Counselling in Punjab? 

The candidate should:

  • Pass from or qualify NEET UG 2025.
  • The others should have passed their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Should be an Indian citizen.
  • Should be taken for government-reserved seats.
  • Should have studied in Punjab for at least 5 years.
  • Should have a duly issued Punjab domicile certificate.
  • Distracted when applying for private colleges.
  • Candidates from other states can apply. 

2. How do I register for Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025?

  • The registration is online, on the official website of BFUHS, bfuhs.ac.in.
  • Steps:
  • Register by choosing a login ID.
  • Fill out personal and school education details.
  • Upload the required documents along with the application.
  • Pay the counselling registration fee online.

3. How much do the candidates have to pay for registration for the counseling?

  • The application fees vary by category of candidate. 
  • For general candidates, the total fees amount to ₹5,000, and further 18 % GST is charged, making it ₹5,900. 
  • For candidates belonging to the scheduled castes, the total fees are ₹2,500 plus 18 % GST, which amounts to ₹2,950. (NEET Counseling 2025). 
  • These fee structures were referred to from the previous years and might be changed in the coming years. 

4. What important documents must an individual carry while seeking counseling? 

  • The following documents are regarded as important:
  • How to get your NEET UG 2025 admit card and scorecard.
  • Class 10 and 12 marksheets, along with certificates.
  • Robin is not able to submit the Domicile Certificate (for those from Punjab).
  • Caste and Income Certificates (if applicable).
  • PWD Certificate (if any).
  • Passport-size photographs (recent).
  • An identity proof (Aadhaar/PAN, etc.).

5. What are the things to be done after people get registered?

Post-Registration Procedure:

  • Verify the Documents: Go to the centre to get the documents verified.
  • Enter the data for the respective colleges and courses on the internet.
  • Mock allotment: Candidates get the option to make changes to their choices.
  • Final Option Entry: Change your options after the mock seat allotment is announced.
  • BFUHS shall carry out the final seat allotment to the students as per their rank and course preference.
  • Taking admission orders from the portal on payment.

6. Can I appear in Counselling for the state quota as well as the All India Quota (AIQ)?

  • Yes, candidates can appear for both elections.
  • The State Quota Counselling by BFUHS counsels for both government and private seats, covering around 85% of government seats and 100% of private seats in Punjab.
  • AIQ Counselling, which is run by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), allots about 15% of government medical seats. 
  • Do note that you would have to get registered for both separately.

7. What options are there if you get a seat in Round 1?

When Round 1 allotment is finished, candidates can pick:

  • Choice 1 means they allow acceptance of the seat and are discharged from further process.
  • One option is to accept the seat and continue to the next round in the hope of getting better options.
  • Choice 3 means they refuse acceptance of the seat and try in the next round.
  • Another option is to refuse the offered seat and withdraw from the counselling procedure.
  • Note: They should decide within the allowed time to avoid losing the seat they have gotten.

8. Is there a separate procedure for counselling in private medical colleges of Punjab?

Yes. BFUHS has a single counselling system for all government and private medical colleges in Punjab. However, eligibility in the selection of candidates and the fixation of fees may not be the same for either category of institutions.

9. And what happens in case I do not make it to the document verification appointment? 

Skipping document verification on-site may result in being disqualified from the counselling procedure. One should attend the document verification at the location and date-time given by BFUHS. Sometimes, alternate arrangements are made by BFUHS, if at all; however, this may not always be the case.

10. How can I obtain the official updates and notifications concerning counseling? 

Any update, notice, schedule, or announcement from BFUHS is published on their official website: bfuhs.ac.in. Thus, one should keep an eye on this site to keep up with the latest.
