The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the GPAT 2026 application correction window is set to close today on 19 January 2026. This window is to facilitate those candidates who have already submitted their forms but need to make adjustments before the final GPAT application submission. The final edits can be done on the official website nbe.edu.in. No requests for further changes would be accepted once the GPAT 2026 application correction window closes.

The authority opened GPAT 2026 Application Correction facility on 16 January 2026.  The NBEMS clarified that the applicants who made minor errors in the submission can now correct them. Students should not wait till the last minute because the traffic will be heavier at the portal. The GPAT 2026 application edit option is fully online. Fresh registrations are not allowed, and only a few pieces of information can be rectified.

Who Can Use the GPAT 2026 Correction Window?

If a candidate has submitted their application form with the fee payment, then they are eligible to use the NBEMS GPAT 2026 Application Correction window.

Candidates must understand that this is not a registration timeline, because the application window is already over and NMEMS has strictly directed not to accept fresh GPAT applications at this stage.

How to Make Changes in GPAT 2026 Application Form?

The correction process can be done following these steps:

  1. Visit the official website nbe.edu.in.
  2. Click on the GPAT 2026 Application Correction link.
  3. Log in with your application number and password.
  4. Edit the details (which can be edited).
  5. Duly check the rectified details.
  6. Review the form and submit.
  7. Download the corrected application form.


GPAT 2026 Admit Card Date

Ques: How much do I have to pay for GPAT registration?

Ans: GPAT application fee varies by category.

  • For General/OBC/EWS category: INR 3500
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Transgender: INR 2500
  • Service/processing charges & GST must be paid with the GPAT application fees.


Ques: Can I change the exam city in GPAT application correction window?

Ans: No. You can not change the exam city in the GPAT application correction window. NBEMS has allowed only certain editing, and the exam city is not one of them. Along with the exam city you can not change these details:

  • Mobile number
  • Aadhaar number

Ques: What is the refund policy of GPAT 2026 exam?

Ans: No. There is no provision for refund of the GPAT exam application fee. The amount charged is non-refundable. Once you submit the forma nd exam fee, the amount can not be returned. The application fee can be paid via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI Services.

Ques: Does GPAT follow a negative marking scheme?
