The body which conducts 2019 counselling and will be conducting 2020 as well is DMER – The Department of Medical Education and Research. The participants from other states are allowed to participate in the counselling round for the private seats in the state as Haryana is an open state.
In Haryana, there are 4 Government and 5 private medical colleges, with seats 519 and 700 respectively. The PT. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak administers the admission in the state medical and dental colleges of Haryana.
In Haryana, the counselling is organized for 85% state Govt. seats and 100% private seats. There were three rounds of counselling, namely 1st round, 2nd round and mop up round (Spot round or physical round). For Govt. seats, students having domicile of Haryana are only eligible. Fees will vary for domicile and non-domicile students though private is open for all.
In 2019, Physical verification of documents was conducted and it is going to be the same in 2020.
As per ‘Select Your University’ studies, as Haryana falls into Delhi NCR region so the demand is also quite high for the seats there. Cut off here tends to be on the lower side, due to the fee structure which is on the higher side.
According to our research, cut off was higher in round 1 than in round 2. We suggest our medical aspirants that they must make decisions appropriately. Aspirants must look into total per year expenses as it is very important before they go ahead with the form filling.
