Admission Criteria for PhD Full-time Candidates

The eligibility criteria and selection process for PhD full time candidates at IIMC are:

  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks, OR
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree with research with a minimum of 75% marks.
  • UGC NET qualified in Mass Communication and Journalism.
  • No entrance exam required, direct shortlisting based on UGC NET qualification.
  • Interview conducted for shortlisted candidates.


Admission Criteria for PhD Part-time Candidates

The eligibility criteria and selection process for PhD part time candidates at IIMC are:

  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks, OR
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree with research with a minimum of 75% marks.
  • Must be currently employed. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required.
  • Offline entrance exam at IIMC Delhi. UGC NET-qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test.
  • Interview conducted for shortlisted candidates.
