The Indian Navy has invited online applications for the 10+2 (BTech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2026. The invitation is for admission to a four-year BTech programme under Permanent Commission. 


The recruitment drive is being conducted for 44 vacancies in the following two branches:

  • Executive 
  • Technical 


Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply online till 19 January 2026. The official website is joinindiannavy.gov.in. Indian Navy 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry 2026: Who Can Apply?

The cadet entry is open to both men and women. Seven vacancies are reserved for women candidates. Eligibility and age requirements are as follows.


Age Limit

  • Must be born between 2 January 2007, and 1 July 2009.


Educational Qualification

Passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board

  • Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)
  • 50% marks in English in Class 10 or Class 12

Mandatory Requirement

  • Those who have appeared for JEE (Main) 2025 (BE/BTech) are eligible.


Indian Navy 10+2 BTech Entry 2026: Selection Process

The selection process will follow:

  • JEE (Main) 2025 All India Common Rank List (CRL)
  • Shortlisting for SSB Interview (decided by Naval Headquarters).

CRL rank must be correct while filling the application form. Then candidates will be shortlisted and called for SSB interviews. Interviews will be conducted at:

  • Bengaluru
  • Bhopal
  • Kolkata
  • Visakhapatnam

The interviews will begin from March 2026. Intimation will be shared via email and SMS.

Medical Standards and Guidelines

If the Services Selection Board (SSB) recommends any candidate, they must undergo a medical examination. It is prescribed for the 10+2 BTech entry.

Indian Navy 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry 2026: How to Apply?

Candidates must apply online at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.


Documents Required (JPG/TIFF format)

  • Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10/12 certificate)
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • JEE (Main) 2025 scorecard (CRL mentioned)
  • Recent passport-size colour photograph

Important:

  • Personal details must match academic certificates
  • Only one application is submitted 
  • Multiple applications will lead to cancellation
  • No corrections can be made once submission is done
  • Printout of the application form and original documents is needed for SSB interview.


Training, Degree and Benefits

Selected candidates will be admitted in a four-year BTech in:

  • Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering

The degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The Indian Navy will bear the entire cost of training:

  • Tuition
  • Books and study material
  • Clothing and messing facilities

Travel Allowance for SSB Interview

  • AC 3-tier rail fare will be reimbursed for SSB interviewers who are appearing the first time.
  • There is no provision of compensation if a candidate gets injured during the interview process.
