The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has officially released the results of its state accreditation review for medical universities in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry has successfully conducted the reviews process in May 2026. According to the official report, 13 medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan failed to meet the required standards and did not receive state accreditation.

The Kyrgyz Health Ministry stated that there are total 34 medical universities currently providing medical education in Kyrgyzstan. Out of which, 12 universities are public and 22 are private. However, in the state accreditation evaluation process 2026, only 24 institutions participated. The highlights of the review are:
