Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education Revises Class 9 & 11 Annual Exam Dates 2026; Exams from March 7

Rajasthan Board Annual Exam Dates 2026 have been revised for RBSE annual exams for classes 9 and 11. The Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, has announced the revision on X (formerly Twitter).  Rajasthan Board annual exams for classes 9, 11 will now be held from March 7 to 19, 2026. Previously, the examinations of the RBSE class 9 and 11 were scheduled from 1 April 2026. 

The board cited the timely beginning of the new session as the reason. The decision was announced through an official tweet by the Rajasthan Education Department. Recently, the board also made changes in class 12 exam datesheet of RBSE. 

RBSE Board exams are set to begin from 12 February 2026.

According to the latest official notification, RBSE Class 9 and Class 11 annual exams 2026 will now be held:

• From 7 March 2026
• To  19 March 2026 

Earlier, the schedule started from 1 April 2026.

Rajasthan Board Scraps Automatic Promotion for Class 5 and 8

Announcing a major change, RBSE has stopped the Class 5 and Class 8 automatic promotion policy.

What has changed?

• Students must score a minimum qualifying mark. 
• Then only they can be promoted.
• Those who fail will be declared failed.
• Automatic promotion will no longer apply.

RBSE Class 5 and 8 Re-Exam to Be Held Within 45 Days

By scrapping the automatic promotion policy, the board aims to bring more accountability among students and other stakeholders.

The students who fail to secure the minimum marks should note these:

• Re-exams will be conducted within 45 days.
• Schools will provide remedial teaching.
• Extra academic support will be offered before the re-test.

Why RBSE Ended Automatic Promotion Policy

The automatic promotions of RBSE had:
