University Merit Scholarships

Any student of medical, dental, pharmacy, physiotherapy, Ayurveda, and nursing programs.
Academic criteria: For medical and dental students, 80% in qualifying exams, and for other programs, it should be 60% in 10+2 examinations.

Parents’ income should be less than ₹ 6 lakh.

Five scholarships are awarded each for medical, dental, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and ayurveda students.
Fifteen scholarships are for nursing students.
From the above scholarships, each is valued at ₹ 20,000

Category-Based Scholarships

Students from SC/ST/OBC sectors and minority communities(Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi with at least 75% in 12th class.

Economically disadvantaged students.

Children of ex-servicemen.

Physically challenged students.

Female Students and students from rural backgrounds.

The amount of the scholarships varies for each category and course.

The students from minority communities may receive up to ₹ 1 lakh per annum.

Eligibility for Scholarships at RGUHS 2025

Medical & Dental Courses (MBBS/BDS): Minimum of 80% marks in the 12th standard examination.
Other Health Science Courses (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy): Minimum of 60% marks in the 12th examination.
Family income should not be more than ₹ 6 lakhs per annum.
Minimum of 10 years of education in Karnataka.
If the student is female, a child of ex-servicemen, physically disabled, sports achiever, they receive one additional mark weightage during the selection process.
If the student only has a single parent or parents are rural students, they receive two additional mark weightage during the selection process.
