SRM Institute of Science and Technology, earlier known as SRM University is one of the biggest names in the medical field in India. With an annual seat intake of 150, its main campus is located in Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu. SRM Institute of Science and Technology has also got NAAC A++ grade, NIRF Rankings in top 50 and a huge crowd of students coming every year.

The university offers various programs like B. Tech, MBA, Medical, Design and many more, but the most popular course at SRM Institute of Science and Technology is B. Tech. and if we tell you frankly, it is no joke when it comes to the cut offs to get in.

Admission in SRM is through SRMJEEE, the university's own entrance test, yes you do not need JEE Main for SRM. But that does not allow you to take it lightly because in top branches like ECE, AI, Data Science seats get filled really fast, in a blink and the SRMJEEE cut offs keep rising especially for the main campus at Kattankulathur.

So if you are aiming for SRM in 2025, do not ignore SRMJEEE cut off trends because they decide who gets what. One tiny mistake can land you in a branch or course you do not even wanted. So, know what rank you need and it goes without saying that staying ahead in the game is the task of the moment.

SRMJEEE 2025 Cutoff: Determining Factors

Authorities do not just agree on a few numbers and present it as cut offs, deciding the fate of thousands of students. But it holds some patterns, some trends and more importantly, you need to keep track.

  • Number of Applicants- More students will automatically mean more competition
  • Difficulty level of SRMJEEE paper - younger the paper, lower the cut off
  • Number of Seats Available - limited seats mean higher cutoff
  • Performance of Candidates - If students score very well, the bar is going higher

SRMJEEE 2025 Cutoff: Anomalies

  • CSE cutoff at KTR stayed almost the same. 9600 to 10500 in both 2023 and 2024 making it super tight.
  • ECE is no relief either because cutoffs held between 26600 and 27200 in years.
  • Electrical & Electronics saw a little increase – 38000 in 2023 went up to 39000 in 2024.
  • Aerospace and Biomedical kept consistent ranks marking no big shifts.
  • Chemical and Civil Engineering cutoffs hardly changed, they were stuck around 69000 to 70000.
  • Genetic Engineering and Biotech stayed similar in years. Demand was stable with low fluctuation.
  • Other campuses had more flexible ranks meanwhile Kattankulathur is the real austere.

Conclusion

SRMJEEE cut offs are not some random digits but they reflect demand, competition and obviously your fate. If your goal is CSE or AI that too in main campus, keep your SRMJEEE score up to the mark because later rounds are there but they are not enough to land the dream.

If you are assuming that it is the same college, there should be no difference in campuses, but let us stop you right there.  Different campuses have simple entry and different crowds. But main campus SRMJEEE cut offs are tighter than their counterparts, year after year.

So what is the bottom line, always mark trends, track ranks, play smart because SRMJEEE is your entry, but SRMJEEE cut offs?

They are the gatekeepers.
