UGC NET June 2026 Exam Centre Correction Window Open: New Cities Added in North-East

UGC NET June 2026: National Testing Agency has added four new exam city options in the North-East region. Students can change their exam centre preference through the correction window till May 28, 2026.

UGC NET June 2026 Correction Window 

Candidates can now update their application form on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.  The last date to make corrections and city preference is May 28, 2026.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination will be held from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer-Based Test mode across India. The exam will be conducted for 87 subjects.

NTA has added four new examination city options in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Meghalaya.

Candidates Can Change UGC NET Exam Centre Preference

NTA has allowed students from North-Eastern states to select exam cities in neighbouring states as well, in case suitable centres are not available in their own state.

This gives students more flexibility while choosing their preferred UGC NET June 2026 exam centre.

During the correction window, candidates can edit selected details in their application form.

UGC NET 2026 to Be Held for 87 Subjects

The UGC NET 2026 exam will be conducted for a total of 87 subjects. This year, the University Grants Commission has also added two new subjects to the syllabus, forestry and statistics.
