Christ University was established in 1969 as Christ College and then it undertook path-breaking initiatives in Indian higher education with the insistence on academic discipline, imparting of Holistic Education, the introduction of innovative and modern curricula, and adoption of global higher education practices with the support of creative and dedicated staff.
Christ College got autonomy in 2004 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India and identified it as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in 2006.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India declared the institution a Deemed to be University, in the name and style of Christ in the year 2008.
In 1998 NAAC has accredited this institution and it is one of the first institutions in India to be accredited by NAAC. It has the top grade ‘A’ in the 4 point scale.
This University focuses on teaching research and service and it is a multi-disciplinary University as it offers various bachelor to Doctoral level programmes in science, commerce, management, humanities, social sciences, education, law, and engineering to over 18000 students.
Step 1: The candidates who fit in the above eligibility criteria and who are interested can fill the application form online through the University website.
Step 2: Students will need to fill the application form with the required details like 10th, 11th and 12th class mark lists etc. Students would also need to pay the required amount of application fee.
Step 3: Based on the score in the entrance test conducted by Christ University, followed by Skill Assessment (SA), Micro Presentation (MP) and Personal Interview (PI) merit lists will be displayed.
Step 4: Selected students can take admission to the course.

The college is very nice. It is really a very challenging place. Every day students have some interesting activity to do in the university. Teachers are the best. They are very talented, co-operative and expert in their own subjects. The crowd in the college is really great. People from various states come together and there is a feeling of nationality at this college. Every person here is really very kind and polite and really helpful in all situations.

CHRIST University is really worth joining. It is the one among the reputed institutions in the country. People from many countries come to study in this university at Bangalore. For the students who wish to study abroad, it provides the facility of Student Exchange Programme to other countries. Placements are provided at this college. Every student from the final year who wish to sit for the placements are given the opportunity for the same.
