The Tashkent State Dental Institute curriculum BDS is modeled to offer a well-rounded educational experience in the sciences of BDS and a comprehensive clinical education. The program is designed in 5-year stages where the core medical topics are taught, and then moving to specialized areas of BDS and practical care of patients.

During the first years, students are taught basic courses, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Dental Histology. Later on in the course, the emphasis is on fundamental areas of BDS such as Oral Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, and Preclinical Dentistry. Tashkent State Dental Institute provides enrollment for international students through BDS, who have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects from an accredited school. To qualify as a general category applicant, a total of 50% must be achieved in the PCB, while there is some latitude for reserved category students.

For Indian students who wish to practice in India upon graduation must pass the NEET-UG examination in order to apply. In addition, the applicant must be medically able to attend school and must be at least 17 years old before the commencement of BDS course. If these requirements are all met, then the candidate will also qualify for clinical training during BDS.
