Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) was established in 1 May,1948.
The Institutions is responsible for providing pool of specialists and super-specialists to the Armed Forces by giving them in-service training.
The college is located in environment-friendly campus having an area 119 acres near Ramtekri in Eastern Pune. Training is given to the students at affiliated teaching hospitals.The AFMC has produced more than 6500 doctors since 1966. It has produced more than 1000 nursing officers for military nursing services.
