Located in Jamia Nagar, Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia is a public central university.
A group of Nationalist Muslims at Aligarh established this university in the year 1920. By an act of the Indian Parliament, it became a Central University in 1988.
Sir Sarwar Jung of Delhi is the founder of this University. Jamia Millia Islamia provides education in all aspects of schooling, under-graduate, post-graduate, M.Phil/Ph.D. and post-doctoral education.
It attracts brightest young minds from all over the country with 9 faculties of learning, 38 teaching and research departments and over 27 centers of learning and research.
JMI offers various UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and M.Phil & Ph.D. courses in different disciplines. It follows a common application process for all the courses.

Students should first attempt for an entrance exam conducted by JMI. To apply for masters courses the minimum eligibility is a graduate degree in relevant stream from a recognized university or institute.

The faculty of the college is very helpful and good. The college has one of the largest library in the country. Course fee and hostel fee, both are affordable. The canteen food is amazing.

JMI’s Centre for management studies is really good infrastructure wise as the classrooms are fully air-conditioned, the hostel facility is good. Jamia's food is really great.
