The Gdansk University of Technology is one of the leading technical universities in Poland was founded in 1904. The university was created on account of a State National Council decree issued on May 24, 1945. The faculty was started in 1945 under the cooperation of mechanical engineering offering courses in Electrical and Control engineering. Initially, 250 students were studying at the faculty. In 1996, the Faculty changed it’s name to Electrical and Control Engineering.
Faculty was started in 1952 which consists of 6 departments and offers courses in Electronics and telecommunication systems. After establishment, the faculty has become a renowned telecommunication institute in Poland.
