Igor Ivanovich Sikorsky (First Author of World Aviation Industry) was the world-famous aircraft designer, creator of the helicopters and airplanes since 1889. In 1908 he designed his first helicopter that did not rise into the air. With the help of his friends, he built the aircraft BiS-1 and BiS-2 at the institute of Fedor Bylinkin and Basil Jordan breaking the world record of 111km/h.
In 1912, Igor Ivanovich Sikorsky was awarded by the post of chief designer of aircraft department Russian-Baltic carriage Factory in St.
Later, the multiengined airplanes ”Grand” and “Russian Knight”, were constructed and became the best aircraft of the First World war. After the revolution of 1917, he went abroad and In 1923 he has developed the company of Sikorsky Aeroengineering Corporation in the United States. Throughout the 30s, due to the lack of airports and runways, he created a flying boat that could carry the passengers of the capacity around 40 passengers which could acquire the distance of about 1500km.
After the First World War, the company Sikorsky has become a renowned leader not only in the United States also in the world. During the succeeding period, the company has developed the S-55 and S-58 helicopters that operated in almost fifty countries.
