AIIMS Gorakhpur has decided to allow MBBS students 5 chances to clear their exams instead of the earlier four attempts. The decision, taken by the institute’s Standing Committee on compassionate grounds, has been implemented from the current academic session.

This decision will benefit MBBS students who are unable to clear their examination within the 4 attempt limit. However, the 5th attempt will not be automatic. Students will be able to avail the additional chance through a mercy petition.

According to the existing rules, MBBS students who fail to clear the examination within four attempts are not allowed to continue their studies. With the new decision, AIIMS Gorakhpur has provided one more opportunity to such students, keeping their academic future in mind.
