AIIMS, Guwahati, is one of the most emerging AIIMS in the North-East region of India and is a choice of medical aspirants for doing MBBS and Post-Graduate Medical courses. The trend of the NEET UG 2025 and INI-CET cut-off shows that there is an increase in the competition for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs. The All India Quota, as per 2025 counselling data, closing Rank for MBBS in AIIMS Guwahati for the General category was between 3177 to 7686 for NEET UG. The closing Rank for the reserved Category was stretched further as per the counselling rounds. The cut-off for the OBC candidates was around 4708, while the ST category had a cut-off of 55,000, and the SC category had a cut-off of 32,000 in the subsequent rounds.

The closing rank for highly competitive specialisations like MD Radiology and MS General Medicine was very low at 94 and 153 for the General category for 2025 as part of the post-graduate admissions process via INI-CET. In the clinical branches, there was also better demand than in the past years, as the academic standing of AIIMS Guwahati among medical graduates has grown. The year-wise analysis indicates variations in cut-off ranks because of seat matrix changes and counselling trends, also due to the rise in the number of candidates appearing for NEET and INI-CET exams. AIIMS Guwahati is still one of the leading institutions among the new generation AIIMS for both UG and PG medical learning and research.

AIIMS Guwahati NEET UG Cut-Offs 2025

AIIMS Guwahati has witnessed a trend of high competitiveness in the NEET UG 2025 admission process, which is a testament to the increasing popularity of the institute among medical aspirants. The closing rank for the All India Quota of MBBS program varied broadly from round to round, from 3177 to 7686 in the General category. OBC candidates created a thicket up to approximately 14953, while EWS candidates were stuck at approximately 5310-5873. In case of reserved categories, the SC cut-offs were more than 32,000+ ranges, while the ST category had a cut-off of 1.6 lakh rank ranges.

Based on the data, AIIMS Guwahati remains a popular newer AIIMS with its cut-offs varying slightly based on the change in seat matrix, difficulty level of NEET 2025 and the availability of multiple rounds of counselling. The General category cut-off is slightly higher than in previous years, with a slight easing in the later rounds indicating overall competition.

All these trends show that getting a seat in AIIMS Guwahati depends on a high score on the NEET exam; apart from caste category, reserved categories still have extended rank relaxation in subsequent counselling rounds.

AIIMS Guwahati NEET UG Cut-Offs 2025: Yearwise Comparison

A year-wise comparison of AIIMS Guwahati NEET UG counselling cut-off indicates a rise in competition and varying closing ranks for the various counselling rounds. The closing rank for the General category in the MBBS program for AIIMS generally stayed within a relatively modest range in 2023-2024, indicating that there may be fewer seats available and that the demand for this relatively new medical school may be growing quickly. But by 2025, the cut-off range got slightly wider, and the average of the closing ranks in the General category was in the range of 3177 to 7686, suggesting an increase in seat allotment adjustments and participation during the later rounds of counselling.

The OBC candidates too found that the cut-off is not the same as last year, with many extending ranks as per the changing preferences and better options of MCC counselling. Likewise, there was a considerable relaxation in reserved category cut-off in later rounds, following the pattern of AIIMS, which has seen the relaxation of reserved category cut-off over the years.

Overall, the comparison highlights that AIIMS Guwahati is rapidly gaining academic reputation, leading to rising competition each year. The varying cutoffs are determined by the level of difficulty of NEET exam, the number of candidates who appeared in the exam, changes in the seat matrix, and the dynamics of counselling rounds organised by MCC.

AIIMS Guwahati AIIMS Nursing Cut-Offs 2025

AIIMS Guwahati has competitive cut-offs for AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.). Nursing admission process 2025 indicates a rise in the demand for nursing education in AIIMS institutes. The selection of candidates has been done by conducting a national-level AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing entrance examination followed by centralised counselling rounds.

The last rank of B.Sc. (Hons.) in the General category, Nursing was between 1370 in Round 1 and 2059 in Round 3. In later rounds, OBC category candidates have got admission up to almost 3795 rank, and EWS category candidates have got admission up to nearly 4405 rank. The reserved category cutoffs were fairly lenient, with SC category ranks going beyond 10,800, and ST category ranks hovering around 12,958. These statistics show that even with AIIMS Guwahati being one of the newer AIIMS campuses, there is still strong competition.

There was moderate fluctuation between the cutoffs of the previous years and the 2025 nursing cutoffs, attributed to a change in the allotment of seats, counselling participation, and candidate preferences. The reputation that AIIMS Guwahati is gaining in the Healthcare education and infrastructure has helped the nursing aspirants of India in rising with the cut-off trends.

AIIMS Guwahati AIIMS Nursing Cut-Offs 2025: Yearwise Comparison

A comparison of AIIMS Guwahati B.Sc. Nursing cutoffs with year-wise trend reveal that the level of competition among the nursing aspirants of India has been increasing over the years. With the growth of the healthcare facilities, the modern infrastructure, and the AIIMS brand value, the institute has seen its demand increase since its inception.

The closing rank in the General category has been relatively wide in the previous years, like 2023 and 2024, as there were more student preferences for the older AIIMS campuses. In 2025, however, the gap between the closing ranks for the General category was much smaller, and the corresponding ranks were around 1370 to 2059 during the counselling rounds. The competition levels of the OBC and EWS categories were also better than in the past years, and the cutoffs for the SC and ST categories continued to be relatively low in subsequent rounds of counselling.

The changes in cut-off marks are mainly due to various factors such as the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, the total number of seats available in the course, and the candidates' counselling preferences. In summary, the year 2025 shows that AIIMS Guwahati is gaining popularity as a nursing education institute, resulting in increased competition and slightly lower closing ranks over the years.

AIIMS Guwahati INI-CET Cutoffs 2025

The INI-CET 2025 Cutoff at AIIMS Guwahati for MD and MS and other Postgraduate medical courses has been observed to be very competitive. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) organises IOMI Entrance Test (INI-CET) to choose students for admission into post-graduate courses in various AIIMS institutes and other top medical colleges in India.

The lowest and most competitive closing ranks were in clinical specialities for 2025, including MD Radiology, MD General Medicine, and MS General Surgery. General category candidates were in demand and secured top INI-CET ranks, while branches like Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, and Anesthesiology were in demand, with their top ranks around double-digit to low triple-digit range. The cutoff trends for the non-clinical and para-clinical branches were relatively laid back when compared to the core clinical branches.

Academic facilities, more patient exposure, and increased research opportunities are leading to more competitive admission to post-graduate courses at AIIMS Guwahati as compared to the previous years. The difference in cutoff ranks in various categories and counselling rounds is subject to many factors like the availability of seats, demand for specialisation, preference of students, overall INI-CET performance, etc. Overall, the 2025 trends suggest that AIIMS Guwahati continues to maintain its position as a prestigious medical institution in India.

AIIMS Guwahati INI-CET Cutoffs 2025: Yearwise Comparison

The year-wise comparison of INI-CET cutoffs at AIIMS Guwahati indicates that the competition for postgraduate medical admissions is on the rise. The Institute is continuously improving its academic and clinical infrastructure, and hence a large number of candidates have taken up preference for the medical courses like MD and MS at AIIMS Guwahati. Consequently, the cutoff ranks for various popular specialisations have also increased in 2025 compared with the previous years.

In previous years admissions (e.g., 2023, 2024), newer AIIMS institutions like Paediatrics, Radiology, and MD General Medicine had lower applicant preference, resulting in comparatively higher closing ranks for these branches. In 2025, however, closure of the ranks was much better, particularly for high-demand clinical fields. MD Radiology and MD General Medicine still have the highest cutoff movement, and non-clinical specialities had a fairly consistent cutoff movement.

The reason for the fluctuation in yearly INI-CET cutoffs is due to several reasons, such as seat intake, Institute reputation, popularity of specialisation, the level of difficulty in the exam, and change in counselling trends. The summary of all the above shows the rising academic reputation and the rising preference for AIIMS Guwahati postgraduate medical courses in the country.

AIIMS Guwahati Cut-Offs 2025: Conclusion

The cutoff trends for the AIIMS Guwahati 2025 clearly indicate the rising popularity of the institute among medical aspirants.AIIMS Guwahati has become one of the fast-growing AIIMS institutes in India, and the trend of AIIMS Guwahati cutoff 2025 reflects it. The institute has seen an increase in competition in almost all brackets and counselling rounds for MBBS admissions via NEET UG, B.Sc. Nursing and post-graduate courses through INI-CET.

The NEET UG cutoffs reveal that students now see AIIMS Guwahati as a viable choice among the newer AIIMS campuses with its state-of-the-art facilities, skilled teachers, and growing health care facilities. In the same manner, the nursing cutoffs reveal that there has been a rising interest in allied healthcare education, and the INI-CET cutoffs indicate the rising demand for postgraduate clinical specialisations such as Radiology, General Medicine, and Surgery.

When compared year-wise, it can be seen that the cutoff ranks have been getting tougher over the years, which may be attributed to various reasons such as enhancement of institutional reputation, rise in the number of students appearing for their counselling, restriction of the seats available, and changing counselling trends, etc. Closing ranks remain relatively calm for reserved categories, but there has been increased competition for these categories, too.

AIIMS Guwahati is continuing to enhance its reputation as a leading medical college in India, making it an appealing choice for aspiring doctors, nurses, and medical students.
