The NTA NEET Result announced that out of the total 20 lakh candidates who appeared for the NEET test, 11.21 lakh qualified for admission. The NTA NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted in 551 cities and 5,440 examination centres in India as well as 14 international cities, guaranteeing a seamless experience for candidates throughout the country. The examination was conducted in 13 languages, thereby enabling students from varied language backgrounds to avail NEET NTA.
One of the remarkable findings of the NTA NEET 2026 analysis is that over 58% of the successful candidates are women, as compared to male candidates who got 55.1% qualified. Excellent performance was also seen in the examination, as 138 candidates gained marks of more than 690, with 19 candidates breaking the 700-mark.
Furthermore, 10,160 candidates earned 600+ marks, 90,780 candidates got 500+ marks, and 1,492 candidates got 650+ marks. Indian Aryan Gupta (Punjab) and Panshul Bansal (Haryana) tied for the top score with 715/720. 93% are first-time candidates, and 99% of the candidates were of the top scorers are in the age range 17-19.
Re NEET Result 2026 also shows a good geographical representation of the qualified candidates, as candidates from all 36 States and Union Territories have appeared in the Re NEET Result 2026. The maximum number of qualified candidates came from the state of Uttar Pradesh, while the topper of each state and UT was announced. Of these, 17 state toppers achieved a score of 700 or more and 26 achieved scores of over 690. The top 138 candidates were from 66 cities across the country.

NEET Result 2026 Out: Highest Marks in NEET
The NEET UG 2026 result highlights the competitive nature of the medical entrance examination. Of the 1,492 candidates who achieved 650 marks or more, only 19 achieved 700 marks or more, out of 720 marks. There was high competition for MBBS and BDS admissions across India, with more than 90,000 aspirants scoring 500+ marks. Panshul Bansal (Haryana) and Aryan Gupta (Punjab) got the highest score of 715/720.
