CAT cut-off 2025 will be announced after the release of the CAT 2025 result in the last week of December 2025.

CAT cutoffs remain high, approximately in the 98 and 99+ percentile for top IIMs, such as IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Kozhikode, every year. The CAT cutoff is available category-wise and section-wise. For General/NC-OBC category students, the CAT cutoff percentile for top IIMs is around the 98 -100 percentile and for SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the cutoff remains lower. For non-IIMs, the CAT cutoff is usually in the range of the 94 -100 percentile.

Newer IIMs like Amritsar, Sirmaur, and Bodh Gaya will have the cutoff as low as 85–90. The sectional cutoffs are equally important with IIMs like Ahmedabad and Kozhikode with the percentile range of 70–75 in each section (VARC, DILR, QA), while other IIMs like Indore and Lucknow are expected to have higher sectional cutoffs of 80–85.

A raw score of 88–97 is estimated to be in the 99+ percentile, and a score between 72–85 marks is expected to get a 90–95 percentile, which opens doors to good B-schools like MDI Gurgaon, IMI Delhi, and few IIT MBA programmes.
