The Online Admission of IGNOU enables applicants for applying for over 200 programmes with the help of a centralised digital portal. Candidates can fill out the application form, upload the documents, and pay the fees, which makes admissions accessible in India and abroad for online admission in IGNOU.

Online Admission of IGNOU: Cancellation Policy

The option for application cancellation is present in the login of the applicants. Candidates must not send an email or submit a request to iGRAM to cancel the application. They must note that cancellation is irreversible. After being cancelled, the application will not be restored and a refund, if applicable, will be initiated according to the rules of the university.


Online Admission of IGNOU: Instructions

Look at the instructions given below regarding the eligibility criteria, details of fees, duration, etc for online admission in IGNOU.

  • Select the New Registration button, which appears in the applicant login area as well as fill out the needed registration details.
  • The username should be between 8 and 16 characters.
  • Password should be alphanumeric and also must be between 8 and 16 characters long.
  • After filling in the compulsory information, select the submit button.
  • The username of the candidates will be sent to them through email and SMS.
  • For subsequent login, candidates should remember their username and password.
  • Candidates can click on the LOGIN button if they have already registered and are an existing user.
  • It is important to scan the documents from the originals, as after uploading them, they have to click on the next button to get the form preview option.

Online Admission of IGNOU: Ways to Pay the Fees

The ways to pay the fees at IGNOU in terms of online admission for IGNOU are listed below:

Online Admission of IGNOU: Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission,  along with Refund of Fee

  • Non-refundable registration fee.
  • Refund of the fee before admission confirmation.
  • If the cancellation request is received after admission confirmation, then an amount equivalent to 15% of programme fee, which is subject to a ceiling of ₹2,000 will be taken off from the paid fee.
  • The paid fee will be refunded to the student after deducting registration fee only, if he or she has opted for a soft copy of SLM.
  • The development fee will be refunded to those students whose cancellation request has been received and the student has availed fee exemption and paid only registration and development fees.
  • After 60 days of the closing date of admissions, no fee refund will be allowed.
