NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 Exam Dates Announced by NBEMS

The NEET PG is scheduled for 30 August, while the NEET MDS is scheduled for 2 May 2026.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 exam schedule. The dates are tentative. As the notice states, NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 exams will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across India.

NEET MDS 2026 Exam Date and Internship Cutoff

NBEMS has confirmed that NEET MDS 2026 examination is likely to be held on 2 May 2026 (Saturday). 

The eligibility deadline for candidates is also released in the official notice.

• NEET MDS 2026 exam date: 2 May 2026
• Internship completion cutoff: 31 May 2026

The compulsory rotatory internship must be completed before 31 May 2026. This factor decides the dental postgraduate entrance exam eligibility.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Date and Eligibility Deadline

The NEET PG 2026 examination is scheduled for 30 August 2026 (Sunday) tentatively.

If the internship completion criteria are not met, candidates will not be able to appear in the NEET PG exam.

Important Clarification by NBEMS

NBEMS has reiterated that NEET PG and MDS dates are still tentative and potential for change. The authority will soon release the detailed information highlighting eligibility criteria for each exam, the application process, the pattern of papers and details, and the syllabus. 

The official NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 information bulletins will contain all necessary information.

Underscoring the importance of these exams, NBEMS mentioned that MD, MS, and PG Diploma admission in India follow the route of NEET PG entrance. The admission through NEET PG is not optional but non-negotiable for all medical institutions in India. This means that no state government, private medical college, or university is permitted to conduct a separate entrance examination for these programmes. However, some exceptions exist.
