The NEET SS 2025 eligibility criteria and official information bulletin have been published by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on November 5, 2025. The NEET-SS 2025 exam is going to be held on December 26 and 27, 2025. The application portal opened on November 5, 2025, at 3 PM. The application process ends on November 25, 2025, at 11:55 PM on the official website, nbe.edu.in.

Candidates who are applying should verify their eligibility before applying for the examination. If a candidate is found ineligible after applying, their application will be cancelled, and applicable fees will be forfeited. If a candidate is found ineligible after receiving admission, that admission/degree will be cancelled.

NEET SS 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals

Indian students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for NEET SS 2025. 

  • A candidate must have a postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB) from a recognised institution.
  • Candidates must complete their postgraduate medical qualification by January 31, 2026.
  • Candidates must also be registered with the National Medical Council (NMC) or any State Medical Council (SMC) to be eligible for NEET SS 2025.

NEET SS Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

The NEET SS 2025 eligibility criteria for foreign students include the following requirements.

  • Foreign nationals applying for NEET SS 2025 are not required to be registered with the National Medical Council (NMC) but must hold registration with the medical authority in their own country.
  • The candidate must hold a postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • The candidate must have passed the FMGE examination.
  • The candidate should meet any other criteria specified by NBEMS for admission through NEET SS 2025.
