NEET UG

The security deposits in NEET UG counselling mean a fixed amount needs to be deposited to confirm their seat in the allocation process. The Medical Counselling Committee charges a security deposit from candidates, however, the security deposit is refundable or nonrefundable under some circumstances:

You’ll get a refund if:

  • If a candidate does not get a seat in any round of counselling.

During the NEET UG counselling process, candidates cancel the allotted seat for better options or preferences, or maybe thinking of planning to study abroad. Here is how a student should cancel the seat in the right way:

  1. Take the decision before round 2

During the counselling process, students are allowed to exit freely after Round 1, but when Round 2 starts, exits get locked. According to the Medical Counseling Committee, Round 2 acts as the final allotment.

  1. Visit the official website of MCC and log in - Visit the MCC official website mcc.nic.in for NEET UG counselling of the relevant state authority and log in using your registration details.
  2. Access the resignation option - Visit the Seat Resignation or Surrender Seat Option within the candidate activity board.
  3. Follow instructions - Follow the instructions carefully on the website to resign your seat formally.
