Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology - [BBDIT] was established in the city of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2000 by Rajiv Educational Trust. The college has been recognized by bodies such as AICTE, PCI, Board of Technical Education UP, and the State government of UP. The college is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. BBDIT Ghaziabad has been ranked 87th out of 122 colleges in the MBA Category by IIRF in 2025; the college has also secured 2nd position in UP in the survey conducted by the Dataquest - CMR and 39th in India in a survey published by Times of India and has also received Best Engineering College Award by AICTE Chairman. 

BBDIT Ghaziabad is also a member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Institution of Engineers and Computer Society of India and has also collaborated with Gannon University - Pennsylvania of USA for Masters programs in Engineering branches and Business Administration.
