The admissions at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University are very strict and based on the merit list from qualifying exams. Candidates who are applying for admission must be 17 years old on or before 31st December 2025. Indian students planning to enroll in MBBS in Russia require an eligible NEET Score, and the English evaluation test IELTS score is also required. The admissions process at First Moscow State Medical University consists of 5 stages:

Step 1: Application Process

Students can apply to the University directly online or through an authorised representative in their country. After reviewing all of the information on the website about tuition fees and courses, the first step is to choose a course.

Once you have chosen the course, please submit the following documents:

Filled application form.
A digitally scanned copy of the international passport or ID (valid for at least two years);
A scanned copy of the high school diploma (with transcripts).

After reviewing the aforementioned documents, we will notify you of our decision on acceptance or rejection. Following your acceptance, we will send you an Admission Confirmation Letter within one working day.

Step 2: How to Get an Invitation Letter

To get an invitation letter from First Moscow State Medical University, we require the following documents:

Completed application form.
Scanned version of an international passport (valid for at least two years);
A scanned version of the school certificate, including transcripts.
A photocopy of the payment receipt.

You may only submit these documents after receiving the Acceptance/Admission Confirmation letter.

Ensure that documents are appropriately scanned and easily legible.

You can pay us using a bank transfer, Western Union, or MoneyGram.

The state home office sends out invitations, which take 40-45 days.

They will send you the original invitation letter, admission confirmation letter, and Visa support letter after we receive the paperwork and money.

Step 3: Visa

After receiving the invitation letter, the student must contact the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate in their country.

The visa criteria include the following:

Completed the application form (available online at visa.kdmid.ru).
Digital Invitation Letter;
The original international passport (valid for at least two years);
Higher Secondary School Certificate (legalised or with an Apostille Stamp);
A health certificate certifying no presence of HIV or AIDS;
2 passport photos (3 x 4).

Step 4: Arrival

Before arriving in the Russian Federation, the student must transfer all first-year fees to the university account or the account of their official representative.

Before arrival, the student must present us with a payment receipt for all first-year expenses that have been paid.

Once the student has obtained a visa from the Russian Embassy or Consulate, they must notify them of their flight details, including date and arrival time.

Step 5: Admission and Start of Classes

Every student should provide his or her original complete set of documentation, as well as a payment receipt for all first-year expenses.

Every student must register at a university within three working days of arriving in Russia.

After arriving in Russia, students must submit all documentation to the International Department through an official representative as specified on the Admission Confirmation Letter.

The International Department staff will complete the entrance and registration process in one or two working days, after which you will be able to begin classes.
