Founded in 1923, the Government Polytechnic Masab Tank is the oldest and most famous government polytechnic college in Masab Tank Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Government Polytechnic Masab Tank is a popular government-run polytechnic college located in Masab Tank Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Formerly, it was known as Osmania Central Technical College. In 1931, its name was changed to Osmania Technical College. Finally, in 1954, it turned up as the Government Polytechnic Masab Tank Hyderabad.
At the very beginning, in 1923, it started with only 2 courses: a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. But in 1954, the college authority introduced 4more courses: Diploma in Automobile, Diploma in Civil, Diploma in Telecommunication (in the branch of electronics) were added to its curriculum.
