Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS]

At Lomonosov Moscow State University, the MBBS program is coordinated with European standards of medical education to allow for balanced development of students in areas such as theoretical knowledge, research, and clinical training.

During the first 2-3 years of the education, students will complete preclinical courses, including but not limited to Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Microbiology, and General Pathology, to develop their foundation for studying medical science. 

Following the first 2-3 years, students will begin taking para-clinical classes, including Pharmacology and Pathology, that will prepare them for the clinical aspects of the program in years 3-6. In these next 3 years, students will have practical clinical experiences as they work in the clinical areas of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Community Medicine at one of the MSU hospital affiliates.

The overall purpose of this course of study is to produce competent physician-scientists who will possess basic diagnostic, research, and patient care skills through a combination of didactic instruction and hands-on experience using current methods of education.
