In 2008, Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of medical sciences and research was opened in Kanchipuram, in Tamil Nadu. The college has affiliations with The Tamil Nadu, Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

The MAPTIMES has a MBBS program 4 and a half years, BDS, BPT, BSc in nursing program of 4-years duration, MSc in nursing, M. Pharm, and MPT program of 2-years duration. Aspirants wishing to pursue MBBS and BDS programs must apply online to NEET UG.

In case of other UG and PG programs, students must apply online on the website of the affiliate university to enroll in individual courses. Application fee payment should be made via the Demand Draft on an offline mode.

Those students who have passed their 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects in a recognized Board are eligible to take admission into the MBBS, BDS, BSc (Nursing), or BPT, and B.Pharm courses.

Individuals who have B.Pharm Degree can be admitted to the M.Pharm course, students with BSc in Nursing degree are allowed to obtain admission to MSc in Nursing program and individuals with BPT Degree can join MPT program.

Admission into MBBS and BDS is provided in NEET-UG by CBSE. Other UG and PG programs such as BPT, B.Pharm, BSc in Nursing, MPT, MSc in Nursing, M.Pharm courses will be selected based on merit.
