Vardhman Mahaveer Open University or VMOU is a public open university in Kota, Rajasthan. Established in 1987, it is the third largest open university in India. VMOU Kota is formerly known as Kota Open University. It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Distance Education Bureau (DEB), and NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
