Zhejiang Medical University (commonly known as the Zhejiang University School of Medicine) is a public medical school that was founded in 1897. The university is internationally recognized by major organizations such as NMC (India) and WHO and endorsed by the Ministry of Education of China. Admissions to the School of Medicine at Zhejiang University as per academic grades and eligibility criteria. Candidates must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates from India must also take the NEET examination and must take a test or interview as additional admission requirements may apply to various academic programs. Meeting each requirement can improve application success.


The main admission period for MBBS programs and other programs at Zhejiang Medical University begins in September. We recommend that you apply as early as possible as all program seat availabilities fill up quickly. Most admissions begin a few months prior to the session you begin to apply at. Applying early will help you in a smooth and quick admissions process and visa processing.


To apply for admission, students need to complete the online application form and upload all the documents required for their application to be complete. After that, the university will review the application. Some applicants may be invited to an online interview before the final decision is made. If selected, the applicant will be sent their acceptance letter (you should pay the required fees), and once that is done, the university will send the official admission letter along with (JW202 / JW201), which is needed for their Chinese student visa (X1). Once the student gets their visa, they will then be able to make travel arrangements.
