AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) is an entrance exam for diploma holders and BSc degree holders to get admission into the second year of engineering and pharmacy courses in Andhra Pradesh. The eligibility criteria for AP ECET 2026 are set by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

To appear for the exam and secure admission through the AP ECET 2026 counselling process, candidates are required to meet all the admission requirements, including educational qualifications, domicile status, nationality, and age criteria.

AP ECET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the AP ECET 2026, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:

Nationality and Domicile

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per government guidelines.

Educational Qualification

1. Diploma Holders:

  • Candidates should have completed a 3-year diploma in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy from a State Board of Technical Education or an equivalent recognized institution.
  • Diploma candidates in pharmacy are eligible for pharmacy courses only.

2. BSc Graduates:

  • Candidates should have passed a 3-year BSc degree with mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university.
  • BSc degree holders are eligible for engineering courses only.

Minimum Marks

  • General Category: Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in their qualifying exam.
  • Reserved Category: Candidates need a minimum of 40% marks in their diploma/BSc programs.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be 18 years old.
  • There is no upper age limit to apply for AP ECET 2026.

Note: Final-year diploma/BSc students can also apply, but they must submit proof of qualification at the time of admission.
