Overview

The CLAT PG is a pan-India entrance exam that is organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) annually to get admission into LLM programs at the prestigious law universities throughout  India. The application process will start in July 2025 and end by November 2025. It will be conducted in December 2025. The provisional answer keys and the final result will be announced in January 2026 on the official site. CLAT PG Exam Day Guidelines

The consortium of NLus issues the guidelines for the CLAT PG 2026 exam on their official site, which should be followed by all the candidates carefully. 

  • Reporting & Entry Time
    The entry for the exam opens at 1:00 PM, seating begins by 1:30 PM, and the hall locks at 2:15 PM. The exam begins at 2:00 PM sharp and ends at 4:00 PM (or 4:40 PM for PwD candidates).
  • Documents to Carry
    All candidates must carry the CLAT PG admit card, original photo ID, and PwD certificate (if applicable).
  • Permitted Items Inside
    - Blue or black ball-point pens
    - Transparent water bottle
    - Analogue watch

What is the Dress Code for CLAT PG 2026?

  • Accessories or full-sleeve clothes, shoes, jewellery, should not be worn on the exam day by the candidates; it may be deemed as suspicious.
  • Refrain from talking, exchanging items, or seeking help from others.
  • Avoid bringing any paper or written material, and do not attempt to cheat or use unfair means—this can lead to disqualification.


CLAT PG Answer Key 2026

The consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT PG Answer key 2026  on their official website. It is expected to be released after one month of the examination being conducted, that is, in January 2026. Two types of answer keys will be released.

  • Provisional Answer Key: It is released so that all candidates can use it as a reference and assess their performance in the exam. In case of discrepancies, objections can be raised on it, which can be corrected in time.
  • Final Answer Key: It is scheduled to be released after one week of the provisional answer key has been released; no corrections will be made in this.
