Karnataka PGCET Registration Process
Karnataka PGCET 2026 admissions are conducted by KEA for postgraduate courses in Karnataka, comprising MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech, and M.Arch. Both government and private sector institutions participate in the counselling process. The total process is explained in brief below.
1. Online Application / Registration
- Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
- Click on the PGCET 2026 Application link.
- Register with your name, DOB, email ID, and mobile number.
- Log in using the generated User ID & Password.
- Fill in academic details, category, and course preferences.
- Upload scanned photo, signature, thumb impression, and ID proof.
- Upload caste/income/domicile certificates (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee (online or via e-challan).
- Submit the form and download the acknowledgement.
2. Downloading Admit Card
Admit cards are released 10–15 days before the exam.
Log in with your application number and DOB to download.
Check for errors in personal/exam details.
Carry the printed admit card and photo ID to the exam.
3. Appear for the Exam
The exam is conducted offline (pen-and-paper mode).
Questions are MCQ type (no negative marking).
Duration: 150 minutes.
MBA: English, Reasoning, GK, Quantitative.
MCA: Maths, Computer Awareness, English, Reasoning.
M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch: Subject-related technical topics.
Follow the dress code and exam guidelines.
4. Result Declaration
- Results are available on KEA’s website.
- Log in using your PGCET number to access the scorecard.
- The scorecard shows subject-wise and total marks.
- Print and keep the scorecard for counselling.
5. Document Verification
KEA announces document verification schedule.
Visit the centre with original and photocopies of:
- 10th, 12th marksheets
- Degree/provisional certificate
- Admit card and PGCET scorecard
- Caste, income, domicile (if applicable)
- Govt. ID proof
- Receive the Acknowledgement Slip after verification.
6. Option Entry
Log in to the KEA portal to select course and college preferences.
Prioritise based on cutoff, location, and facilities.
Modify preferences in allowed rounds if needed.
7. Seat Allotment
KEA declares allotment based on rank, category, and choices.
Candidates can:
- Accept and pay fees
- Participate in the next round
- Exit the process
- Download the Allotment Letter after confirmation.
8. Fee Payment
Pay the admission fee online through the KEA portal.
Fee varies by course, college type, and category.
9. Download Admission Order
Download the Admission Order from the portal after fee payment.
10. Report to Allotted College
Visit the college within the deadline.
Submit the Admission Order, documents, and complete admission formalities.

Karnataka PGCET Admit Card
The Karnataka PGCET 2026 admit card is an essential document required for sitting in the exam. It has details such as exam date, time, centre, and candidate details. Candidate can download their admit card from their official website once it is released by KEA, by following the steps indicated below.
- Log on to the KEA site: kea.kar.nic.in.
- Click on ‘Hall Ticket Download Link’.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth (DOB).
- Click on “Submit”.
- Your Karnataka PGCET Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
- Cross-check each detail on the admit card for any discrepancies.
