Karnataka PGCET Registration Process
Karnataka PGCET 2026 admissions are conducted by KEA for postgraduate courses in Karnataka, comprising MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech, and M.Arch. The institutions in the privately owned sector are involved in the process of counselling along with the government. The entire process is as concisely explained below.
1. An web application /registration
- Go to www.cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
- Click on the PGCET 2026 Application link.
- Log in using name, D.O.B, email ID and mobile no.
- Enter with the Created UserID & Password.
- Enter academic preferences i.e. category and course.
- Provide photo, signature, thumb impression and identity proof.
- Forfeit caste/income/domicile certificates (where the need be).
- UKCAT payment (echallan/ online).
- Mail the form and receive the confirmation.
2. Admit Card Download
- The admit cards are published 10 to 15 days prior to exam.
- You also download with your application number and DOB.
- Personal/exam-check errors.
- Bring along the print copy of admit card and photo id to the exam.
3. Put in an appearance at the Exam
- The test is pen-and-paper based (off-line).
- MCQ type questions (no negative marking).
- In length: 150 minutes.
- MBA: English, Reasoning, GK, Quantitative.
- MCA: Maths, Computer Awareness, English, Reasoning.
- M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch: Technical subject-related-based.
- Dress code and examination instructions should be adhered to.
4. Result Declaration
- KEA has publicised findings on its website.
- Log in using your PGCET number to access the scorecard.
- Subject wise and overall marks are marked out in Scorecard.
- Retain and print the counselling score card.
5. Document Verification
- KEA publishes the document verification timetable.
- Take to the centre originals and copies of:
- 10th, 12th marksheets
- BaccaLaureate/diplome provisoire
- Admit card and PGCET scorecard
- Caste, income, domicile (where this is applicable)
- Govt. identity document
- Get the Slip of Acknowledgement after its verification.
6. Option Entry
- Go to KEA portal to choose course and college preferences.
- Give first importance to cutoff, location and facilities.
- Adjust preferences in rounds permitted per player.
7. Seat Allotment
- KEA states that allotment is done on a basis of the rank, category and choices.
- Candidates can:
- Pay fees and accept them
- And take part in the round afterwards
- Leave the procedure
- After confirmation you can download the Allotment Letter.
8. Fee Payment
- Make the admission fee online using KEA portal.
- The fee depends on the course, type and nature of a college.
9. Admission Order
- Pay fee and download the Admission Order on the portal after fees payment.
10. Report to Given College
- Come to the college in time.
- Present the Admission Order, and documents, and present admission formalities.

The Karnataka PGCET 2026 admission card is a crucial document that must be made available to enable a candidate to sit the exam. It includes the details like exam time, date, center, and candidate details. When KEA releases their admit card, candidates can get or download their admit card through their official website by following the steps as indicated below.
- Visit the site of the KEA: kea.kar.nic.in
- Click on the link for the Hall Ticket.
- Fill in your Application Number and Date of birth (DOB).
- Press the button in the form of a green arrow and click on the “Submit” option.
- Your Karnataka PGCET Admit Card will appear on the screen.
- Examine everything in the admit card carefully and cross-check it.
- Print and store your paper copy of the exam admit card on the day of the exam.
