NMAT 2025: Eligibility, Registration, Pattern & Result

The  NMAT 2025 is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) to facilitate admission to more than 50 B-schools across India, Philippines, South Africa, Hungary, Nigeria, and Morocco. The NMAT 2025 Registration is expected to start in August 2025. A candidate is provided with a total of three attempts after the test window gets open. For the first attempt candidate and for next two attempts candidate has to register separately.

What is the NMAT Exam?

The NMAT by GMAC is a national level computer based examination also known as NMIMS Management Aptitude Test. The exams make students eligible to secure their seat in over 50 management colleges across India, Philippines, South Africa, Hungary, Nigeria, and Morocco.  The NMAT Exam Syllabus 2025 consists of three sections i.e.  Quantitative Skills, Logical Reasoning, Language Skills, each having 36 questions, for a total exam duration of  2 hours.

Approximately 75,000 students appear for NMAT by GMAC every year. The NMAT Exam difficulty level generally lies in the moderate category.

NMAT Admit Card

The NMAT Admit Card is typically released seven days before the scheduled exam date. The NMAT admit card 2025 will have key details filled during the NMAT slot booking. Admit card is accessible via the NMAT login dashboard. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the NMAT admit card to the exam centre. Each NMAT exam attempt will require a separate admit card.

NMAT 2025 Scheduling

NMAT Scheduling/Slot Booking is a process through which candidates are provided with the facility to choose the NMAT Exam Date, slot, centre using an NMAT Scheduling Window. 

GMAC provides three exam attempts in a particular test window. All applicants get the option to schedule their first exam attempt soon after registration. Only the candidates who complete the NMAT slot booking process will be able to download NMAT 2025 admit card.

NMAT 2025 Rescheduling 

GMAC offers the ability to use the NMAT rescheduling window to modify the exam date, time, or location.  After paying an extra facility cost, the option to reschedule the exam becomes available.  The exam information will be displayed on the candidate's NMAT admit card according to the revised timetable if they choose to use the rescheduling option.

NMAT Retake 2025

Following the NMAT first attempt, candidates are permitted to retake the NMAT exam again twice.  Retaking the NMAT is permitted during the exam window that GMAC has announced.  Once the individual shows up for their first attempt, the exam retake registration will be hosted on the NMAT dashboard.  The candidate has to pay the NMAT 2025 application fee each time they retake the test.  Only the initial NMAT attempt may be accepted by certain NMAT colleges, while best of the three scores may also be accepted for admission by certain particip

NMAT Exam Registration 2025

The NMAT Registration Window 2025 will be open in August on the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the NMAT 2025 first attempt will have to fill the application form and submit all the required documents within the time frame, while for the NMAT 2025 Retake attempts candidates have to register again. Step 1. Go to www.mba.com/exams/nmat.

Step 2. Sign up or log in to the NMAT portal using your email ID.

Step 3. Enter personal, academic, and work experience details.

Step 4. Choose up to 5 B-schools to send your scores to (free of cost).

Step 5. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and valid ID proof.

Step 6. Pay the exam fee (around ₹3000 + taxes) via online payment modes.

Step 7. Choose your preferred exam date, time, and mode (center-based or online proctored).

Step 8. After scheduling, download your admit card from the dashboard.

NMAT 2025 Exam Pattern

NMAT 2025 Exam Result

The NMAT 2025 results will be released by GMAC in the form of normalised scores/Percentile. The result will be declared after the  48 hours of the commencement of the final examination. The scores in NMAT results will be considered for the NMAT 2025 counselling process. NMAT Exam Centres

NMAT Counselling Process

After the NMAT Results are announced, you will have to apply for  individual B-schools to initiate the NMAT counselling process. This process includes Group Discussions, and Personal Interviews. A detailed step-by-step guide to the counselling process is shown below.

1. Take the NMAT Exam: First, you need to register and take the NMAT by GMAC exam.

2. Check Your Score: After the exam, check your result on the official NMAT website.

3. Apply to Colleges: Send your scores to the colleges you are interested in. Each college has its own cut-off marks.

4. Shortlisting by Colleges: Based on your NMAT score, colleges will shortlist you for the next round.

5. Attend GD-PI or WAT-PI: Shortlisted students must attend Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT), or Personal Interview (PI), depending on the college.

6. Final Selection: Colleges will consider your NMAT score, performance in GD/WAT/PI, academic records, and work experience (if any) to make the final list.

7. Admission Offer: If selected, you will get an admission offer. Pay the fee to confirm your seat.

Note: As there is no centralized counseling process for NMAT; each B-school conducts its own admission process. Candidates need to apply separately to each B-school they are interested in, even after qualifying for the NMAT.
