The PGIMER M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam is a national-level postgraduate exam, conducted by PGIMER, Chandigarh, for admission to the M.Sc Nursing program at the National Institute of Nursing Education. 

The syllabus for this exam is based on the B.Sc Nursing curriculum, as prescribed by the INC, so the content of the exam is aligned with national academic standards and clinical competencies appropriate for advanced practice nursing education. 

The following subjects are considered core nursing subjects: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Research and Statistics, General Aptitude, and English. 

PGIMER MSc Nursing Entrance Exam syllabus topic-wise weightage is as follows:

  • Medical-Surgical Nursing: 15–20% and out of 100 marks, it carries 15–20 marks.
  • Community Health Nursing: 10–15%, out of 100, it carries 10-15 marks
  • Obstetric & Gynae Nursing: 10–15%, out of 100, it carries 10-15 marks
  • Child Health Nursing: 10–15%, out of 100, it carries 10-15 marks
