PPMET 2026 Syllabus Overview

The PPMET 2026 syllabus includes topics under Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The topics covered in these subjects in the exam include Thermodynamics, Work & Energy, Genetics, Biotechnology, Ecology, etc. The questions in the exam will be in English, and each of them will be worth 4 marks. The total marks in the exam are 800, with 200 marks each in Physics and Chemistry, and 400 marks in Biology.  

As per the marking scheme, there will be no negative marking in the PPMET 2026 exam. The exam pattern is mostly based on testing the conceptual knowledge, problem-solving, and application of concepts.

There is no significant change in the syllabus for the PPMET exam in 2026 as compared to the syllabus in 2025. There might be some changes in the specific weightage in the topics as compared to those in the previous years. 

Based on the subject-wise weightage for PPMET 2026, 200 marks are allotted to Physics, 200 marks to Chemistry, and 400 marks to Biology. The Biology section will also consist of 100 questions as compared to 50 questions in the other sections, and will include questions based on Zoology and Botany. 

To cover the PPMET 2026 syllabus in 6 months, you must create a daily, weekly, and monthly study plan. Moreover, you must maintain consistency to ensure all the topics are covered in time. You must also consider starting as early as possible to get more time for the preparation. 

Human Physiology, Genetics & Evolution, Plant Physiology, and Ecology & Environment are some of the toughest topics in the Biology section of the PPMET exam. You must put sufficient focus on these topics to cover them effectively and within the time limit for preparation.
