SRCC GBO Result 2026, Cutoff, and Counselling Process

The SRCC GBO 2026 result is likely to be posted on the official SRCC GBO web portal in the last week of February or the first week of March 2026, with the candidates able to log in to obtain their scorecard by entering their credentials (application number and password). The result will show the total score, performance on each section, and if the candidate has been shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Only those candidates who have achieved a score above the cutoff score will be offered a place in the GD/PI stage.

The selection process will involve adding the entrance test score and GD/PI. The final merit list will then be calculated on the basis of a number of weighted items for the three parts of the selection process. Typically, the written-test score is weighted the most highly, followed by the GD score and the PI performance.

In the recent year (2025), the cutoff score for general candidates was close, at around 270 - 290 out of 400, as well as a high competition level for 2025, with about 11,000 candidates applying. A similar phenomenon is likely in 2026. The final result, after GD/PI, is likely to occur in April 2026, with admissions to follow very closely behind.

The cut-off for SRCC GBO 2026 is 'predicted' to be in the vicinity of 270 - 290 Marks Out of 400 for General category candidates, based on past trends and the moderate level of difficulty. Cut-off marks are the minimum marks acquired in the written test to qualify for the next stage of selection (Group Discussion and Personal Interview process). It must be stated that the cut-offs may vary across selection and in relation to the number of applicants and their aggregate performance, exam level of difficulty, and reservation categories. The cut-off for reserved category candidates (OBC, SC, ST, and EWS) would be lower than that of the General Category.

After the announcement of the SRCC GBO 2026 result, the institute will publish a shortlist of candidates who have cleared the cutoff for the written examination (it is usually around 280+ in the General category). 

• Candidates in the shortlist will be called for the GD/PI stage, typically held over a few days in May (it was from May 6-10 last year, so it will probably be the same this year).
• Candidates must register online for the GD/PI rounds in the SRCC admission portal, pay the counselling fee, and select the session from what is available.
• The weightage for evaluation is 10% for GD and 15% for PI, alongside the 75% from the entrance exam.
• The final merit list takes into consideration the normalised scores of these three components.
• Candidates who are offered provisional admission are required to submit verification of documents and payment of fees to retain their seats.
