TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2026
TS EAMCET Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (formerly known as EAMCET) Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducts the state-level entrance test and is administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of the TSCHE. The test offers eligibility in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech), Agriculture, and Pharmacy in the universities and other privately owned colleges all over Telangana.
With regards to 2026, students who wish to take the professional state level undergraduate courses must pass the eligibility criteria and prepare accordingly in advance in accordance with the official syllabus of the TSCHE.

Nationality | Candidate must be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder. |
Domicile | Must belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. Must satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down by the state government. |
Age Limit (Engineering & Pharmacy) | Must be at least 16 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. No upper age limit. |
Age Limit (B.Tech in Dairy, Agriculture, etc.) | Must be at least 17 years as on 31st December and not more than 22 years (25 for SC/ST) as on 31st December of the admission year. |
Educational Qualification (Engineering stream) | Should have passed or appeared in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses. |
Educational Qualification (Agriculture stream) | Should have passed or appeared in 10+2 with Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences, or Agriculture subjects. |
Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam | Must obtain at least 45% (40% for reserved categories) in group subjects in 10+2 or equivalent examination. |
TS EAMCET Qualifying Marks | Must secure at least 25% marks in TS EAMCET to qualify (no minimum for SC/ST, but ranking depends on performance). |
Eligibility for Pharm D Course | Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or Biology. Minimum age is 17 years by the end of the admission year. |
Appearing Candidates | Students appearing for the final year of 10+2 are also eligible to apply, but must meet eligibility at the time of admission. |
TS EAMCET 2026: Documents Required
These are the documents that are needed to be eligible to the TS EAMCET. Keep their documents in hand so that there is no delay in the application.
- Academic records: Class 10 (SSC) marks memo, Class 12 marks memo, and hall ticket.
- Identity evidence: Aadhaar card / Passport / PAN card
- Certificates of category: SC/ST/BC caste certificate, EWS certificate, PH/NCC/Sports/Minority certificate (where applicable)
- Others: Income certificate, birth certificate, local candidate status certificate.
- Scanned images: Passport-size photo (JPG, less than 50 kilobits) and signature (JPG, less than 30 kilobits).
- Counselling documents: 6th -12 th study certificate, TS EAMCET rank card/hall ticket, transfer certificate and original caste certificates.

- Understanding The Syllabus
Obtain a copy of the official syllabus of TS EAMCET released by the examining authority. Make a list of all given topics and subtopics in each subject and carry out an in-depth study of each of them.
- Strategic Study Planning
Design a study schedule within realistic limits. Do not set up too ambitious timelines that can cause burnout. Include the necessary breaks, leisure activities, and adequate rest time.
