Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions before registering for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling.
1. NEET UG 2026 Qualification
Applicants must have appeared for NEET UG 2026 and obtained the minimum qualifying marks or percentile prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and ACPUGMEC. Admission is granted only on the basis of the NEET UG merit.
2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
- Passed both the theory and practical examinations in the qualifying subjects.

3. Age Limit
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026 to be eligible for admission through Gujarat NEET UG Counselling.
4. Domicile Requirement
For admission under 85% Gujarat State Quota, the candidates should satisfy the domicile or local eligibility criteria as laid down by the Government of Gujarat and ACPUGMEC. Domicile certificates/study certificates may be required during document verification.
5. Nationality
The following candidates are generally eligible to apply:
- Indian Citizens
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for eligible NRI quota seats
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates, subject to applicable rules and regulations
6. Reservation Eligibility
Candidates claiming reservation under SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD categories should have valid certificates issued by the competent authority. These certificates will be produced at the time of document verification for the reservation benefits.
