In Gujarat NEET UG Counselling the Round 1 2026 is the first stage of the state admission process for MBBS and BDS courses. What Is Gujarat NEET UG Counselling Round 1? 

Round 1 is the first seat allotment round of Gujarat NEET UG counselling. Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria and then complete the registration process and can participate in the merit list and choice filling process. In this round, candidates have to select their preferred colleges and courses. The candidate’s NEET UG merit, category, choices and availability of seats are then considered by ACPUGMEC while preparing the allotment. 

Who Conducts Gujarat NEET UG Round 1? 

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) conducts Gujarat's undergraduate medical and dental counselling. It was constituted under the Gujarat Professional Medical Education Institutions Act to regulate admissions and hold the counseling process on merit basis. 

For Round 1, its responsibilities include:

• Conducting candidate registration
• Issuing the counselling PIN
• Preparing the merit list
• Opening the choice-filling window
• Processing seat allotment
• Publishing the allotment result
• Managing admission confirmation and related verification

How to Participate in Gujarat NEET UG Round 1 2026?

Candidates need to follow the steps which are given below to participate in the counselling round.

Step 1: Purchase the Online PIN

Candidates must purchase the online PIN through the ACPUGMEC admission portal. The PIN is required to access the registration process.

Step 2: Complete Registration

Once the PIN is bought, candidates need to fill the online registration form with their NEET UG 2026 details and other details asked for. Candidates are advised to check their details carefully before filling up the form as wrong information may create problem at the time of verification. 

Step 3: Complete Document Verification

Candidates must complete the document verification process as instructed by ACPUGMEC. The committee has separately published the documents required for its admission process.

Step 4: Check the Merit List

The Merit List of ACPUGMEC will be published after completion of the applicable registration and verification process. Candidates are advised to check their merit status before going for choice filling. 

Step 5: Fill Choices

Eligible candidates for Round 1 can select their preferred MBBS and BDS Colleges and Courses. Choices should be filled according to the order of real preference rather than filling according to the expected cutoff. A candidate may add more appropriate options to increase the likelihood of getting a preferred seat. 

Step 6: Lock the Choices

After entering the preferences, candidates must lock their choices within the specified period. Once the choice-filling window closes, no changes may be allowed as per the rules of that round.

Step 7: Check Round 1 Seat Allotment

ACPUGMEC will release the Round 1 seat allotment result after processing the submitted choices. Candidates can check their allotted college and course through the counselling portal.

Step 8: Complete Admission Formalities

Candidates allotted a seat shall have to complete admission formalities within the time limit. This may include payment of fees, submission of documents and reporting as required by ACPUGMEC.
