How to Cancel Seat Without Penalty - Step-by-Step Guide

Follow the steps below to cancel your seat without penalty.

  • Visit the official portal of DU/IPU university and login using your NEET credentials.
  • Click on the option for resign seat/withdrawal seat. 
  • For DU, the option is only available if a seat is allotted during Round 1. For IPU, the option is available only till the last date of seat locking.
  • In case of DU counselling allotted seats, once you confirm your withdrawal and download the resignation letter, inform the allotted college about resignation. Make sure that the allotted college verifies your resignation online.
  • For IPU colleges, the university will deduct an amount of Rs. 1000/- from fees.
