MCC counselling for NEET UG takes place online entirely on the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling). There are 3 rounds of NEET UG counselling under MCC in total. Only candidates who cleared the NEET exam 2025 by securing the NEET cutoff marks are eligible to participate in the MCC NEET Counselling 2025 process.

The counselling process of NEET has two parts:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, managed by the Medical Counselling Committee
  • 85% State Quota seats, managed individually by respective state authorities

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has added 9,075 more MBBS seats for 2025 - 26, making the total number of MBBS seats in India 1,26,600.

Currently, Round 3 of NEET UG 2025 counselling is ongoing. Medical Counselling Committee has prolonged the choice filling and locking until October 16, 2025, providing candidates with more time to fill their choices. The result of Round 3 seat allotment is to be announced on October 18, 2025. Candidates should report to their assigned institutes after the seat allotment result declaration within the given time period.

What is MCC NEET Counselling?

MCC offers counselling for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, or any other medical course. The counselling process is conducted on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the NEET examination. Later on, a cutoff list is released, which decides the minimum eligible marks required for admission to different MBBS, BDS, and Nursing colleges.
