NEET PG 2026 Photograph Upload Rules Explained

Students applying for NEET PG 2026 must adhere to certain photo upload norms set forth by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The uploaded image must satisfy the following criteria, according to students:

  • For the shot, choose a solid-colored, simple white background.
  • Make sure the face takes up at least 75% of the picture.
  • In the picture, both ears should be plainly visible.
  • When snapping the picture, avoid using a stethoscope, goggles, hats, or sunglasses.
  • Only JPG or JPEG files should be uploaded.
  • The size of the photo file cannot be more than 80 KB.

How to Reduce Photo Size for NEET PG 2026 Application

If a student's photo is larger than the required file size, they should use an online image size reducer when applying for NEET PG 2026. According to the NBEMS upload rules, these programs assist in compressing big image files into a passport-sized photo of up to 80 KB.

Simply submit the photo to a trustworthy image compression program, change the quality level or compression settings till the file reaches the desired size, and then download the compressed JPG or JPEG file to upload with the NEET PG 2026 application form.

Important Guidelines for NEET PG 2026 Students

NBEMS has released important instructions that all NEET PG 2026 applicants should carefully follow while completing the registration process:

  • Select three preferred test states, not individual exam cities. The first preference should be the state corresponding to your correspondence address, while the second and third preferences must be neighbouring states.
  • Test state preferences and correspondence address cannot be changed after the application is submitted, including during the correction window.
  • Registering early does not increase the chances of getting a preferred test location. Exam city allocation is not based on a first-come, first-served system. NBEMS may assign a test city anywhere in India due to administrative, security, technical, or logistical requirements.
  • Upload a recent passport-size photograph (taken within the last three months) and a clear signature in the prescribed format. Applications with blurred, edited, or non-compliant images may be rejected, and the admit card may not be issued.
  • Enter a valid correspondence address and ensure that acceptable address proof is available for verification.
  • Aadhaar-based authentication is mandatory for identity verification during the NEET PG 2026 application process.
  • Students should submit any application-related queries only through the official NBEMS Communication Web Portal and avoid relying on unofficial sources or third-party channels.
