NEET PG 2026 Syllabus Overview

The NEET PG 2026 date will be declared by the NBE online. It is scheduled tentatively that the exam will take place in August 2026. The examiners will be required to register first and fill out the NEET PG application form. Registration may be made on the NBEMS official website.

The NEET PG 2026 Exam eligibility criteria, the application process and exam pattern, among others, will be published together with the official information brochure.

The NEET PG 2026 Syllabus is entirely based on the MBBS curriculum, and the examination is split into Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical courses, embracing all the elements of the undergraduate medical education.

The test has a total of 200 multiple-choice items with 800 marks, where answers of correct items are given a mark of +4 and those of incorrect answers, -1. Out of the three, Clinical subjects occupy the highest weight of almost 60% followed by Para-clinical and Pre-clinical subjects. Pathology, Medicine, Surgery, Community Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology have the most questions, hence are the most scoring in terms of their average.
